Paisley Business Pep Rally a big success!

The Paisley Chamber hosted the first Paisley Business Pep Rally tonight and it was a great success. We aimed to have at least 8-10 business or residents show up and we had 12! With some icebreaker games to start off the night and a door prize for almost every participant, we believe every one had a great time. Each of us spoke about our business or about what business in town would make their lives easier. Some of the suggestions were a Pub open after 8pm, a Meridian Credit Union ATM machine and a paved public parking lot.
We all came home with something learned.
Did you know that Rita at Dos Rios cooks and bakes every day in the back kitchen behind Chicpea? and is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday for take out Pizza?
Did you know that Joanies takes in your dry cleaning? It gets sent out on a friday and it is back by tuesday and vice versa, in on tuesday back by friday!
Did you know there is a very active seniors group in town with Lawn bowling, Carpet Bowling, Shuffleboard and other activities happening all week long?
Did you know that Debbie & Doug Hettrick now own Paisley Foodland and are having a Grand Opening on May 14th.
Many other little tidbits of information came out during this event. But you will have to attend the next one on May 19th to learn more. We expressed our concerns about losing businesses in town, but instead of it becoming a negative discussion it was very positive about how we can aggregate new businesses to our town. About how, even though we are a very historical town, how we can be on the leading edge of technology here.
Some treats were eaten, some new faces were welcomed and some successes were congratulated upon. The biggest thing was that we came together to learn more about each of the businesses and what our future of paisley business will be.

Some of the above mentioned businesses could not attend tonight because of other commitments that are also serving our community. We hope to see them and you there on May 19th at 7:30 pm in the meeting room downstairs in the Town hall. Come and we’ll also give you a free tour of the Jail!

Did you realize there are over 75 businesses in Paisley?
On Monday April 20th at 7pm, we’d like to introduce you to all of them. Please join us in a fun, informal, social gathering at the Paisley Legion. We are inviting all residents, business owners, groups and organizations to come and learn a little more about the businesses that make our vibrant community a pleasant place to shop and visit.
This will be a very informal meeting, no agenda, no sales pitch… just a nice hour or 2 of fun games and mingling. We hope that you will join us.
There will be very light refreshments, an upbeat atmosphere and fun, interactive games for all to enjoy.
