Call for BR&E surveyors.
The Paisley & District Chamber of Commerce is up and running with the primary goal to conduct a survey called the BR&E (Business Retention and Expansion Program). The purpose of this survey is to get create a plan to be sure we retain and expand business in our community. We have already trained 7 people to be surveyors and we are looking for more.
A second training will take place. The current date and time is tonight Monday, March 28 at 7 PM in the council chambers. Please feel free to show up and check it out if you are looking for ways to help our community. Community Hours students over the age of 16 are invited. We are looking for anyone from the community who has an interest in the retention and expansion of our business community (approx 15) You are welcome to do your own survey (if you own a business) if you are trained. If you are interested to do even one survey and cannot make it during those times, please call me. It is highly probable that you have more questions. Please call me, anytime. I am interested in what you interests you.

MAPLE SYRUP FEST

The sweetest festival around will be upon us on Saturday, March 26 and Sunday, March 27. Join us at the Old-Tyme Maple Syrup Festival at the Saugeen Bluffs Conservation Area (north of Paisley). It runs from 10 am to 4 pm both days.
NEW THIS YEAR! Reptiles! Things may get a bit snakey as over 10 live reptiles make thier appearance during both days of the event. In addition to the snakes, will be the traditional mouth-watering pancakes with real maple syrup, horse drawn wagon rides, maple taffy, the Animal Barn, canoe outfitters, crafts, kids activities, the popular historical encampment, black powder demonstartions and as always, much more. Live entertainment will feature the Westernaires (Saturday) and the Red Rascal Band (Sunday). In addition, we extend an invitation to anyone wishing to bring their fiddle and do some jamming. The main ring will feature a number of live shows and demonstrations. You can avoid the parking hassles and take one of the many buses going to and from Paisley. Special thanks goes to Bruce Telecom, Bud Rier Chevrolet (Paisley), Union Gas, Teeswater Concrete, the Paisley Kinsmen, Bruce County Trappers and Crappers, South Bruce Buckskinners, McGlynn Lumber (Mildmay), Voison’s Maple Syrup (Formosa), Bayshore Broadcasting, Ross Young Bus Lines (Tiverton), Martin’s Animal Barn and all of our fabulous volunteers for making this possible. Chamber Meeting at Town Hall

The meeting tonight will be a little unusual. It is simply a training session for those who will be surveying business owners for the Business and Retention Program. If you would be able to survey even one business owner, please feel free to come to the meeting. Until you hear all the details, you do not have to commit to anything. Any Paisley resident or business owner is welcome and encouraged to join us.
