Classes at Barbell’s Fitness

Hi Everybody,
I hope your summer is going good. I don’t want to rush it way by mentioning the September class lineup, but the spaces are quickly filling!
Some of you have already shared what you want with me and I have them written down, but this is a great way to double check……So let me know please.
I’m introducing a Pilates class for September….See below:
7am and 9am Gym workouts are here again. Monday – Wed – Friday mornings with a trainer. $100.00
Monday 6pm Pilates introductory class. 6weeks for $35.00.
Tuesday 7am Pilates, 6pm circuits, 7:30pm spin
Wednesday 6pm kickboxing-for advanced kickboxers. Beginner level will have an intro class depending on the interest at 7pm.
Thursday 6pm strength and 7:30pm spin
Saturday 9am spin. Spaces are limited. $45 per space or $380 for 1 yr unlimited classes.

And now for something completely different. Back Eddie’s proudly announces an event that is a little bit of a change from our normal musical event. It will indeed include some music but will be also providing some “spoken word” and is sure to keep us all talking for some time to come.
This evening will include three acts.
Ash Dickinson, Richard Knechtel and The Drift.
Ash Dickinson is a slam poet/comedian from the U.K. who has won many awards for his comedic social commentary and impressive wordplay. He has performed on many stages across the globe.

Richard Knechtel has performed at many music festivals, concerts and events as a folk, blues, swing and comedy artist. He is also well known as a children’s entertainer, better known to them as Dicky Bird. Winner of the 2010 Owen Sound Cultural Award for Music and currently the very successful Artistic Director of Summerfolk Music Festival.His confident, creative and friendly performances have charmed audiences throughout North America.
Richard hails from Walkerton, Ontario and is one of the best known songwriters in the province with over 400 songs to his credit. His first album of original material was released in 1977. Since then he has produced over 20 recordings on his Greentree Music label. In musical circles, the name Richard Knechtel is synonymous with integrity and good taste. With his engaging personality and special joy, he has established himself as a highly respected musician with a large following of loyal fans.
Last but not least is The Drift ( with the Alien Abduction Orchestra) which is composed of Rob and Caroline Menzies. They are from Owen Sound. Bob has been on the Grey-Bruce slam poetry team. They have performed at Summerfolk and host “Sounds”, a monthly music & spoken work show in Owen Sound. Menzies does editorial cartoons in The Sun Times and is a retired high-school teacher. While at Guelph University he was the campus radio’s program manager and also hosted an underground rock show on a Guelph FM station. Their performance in described as “no holds barred explorations of all the charms and foibles of life as we know it.
Hope you can join us for an interesting evening of thought provoking rhymes and rhythms.
