This year is AVIVA Canada’s first time being involved with these awards and we are honoured that they have felt them worthy of a Corporate Level Sponsorship. Many other cash and in-kind sponsors support this elite awards program.

This year we have a new platinum award sponsor. The Bruce Grey Huron Perth Georgian Triangle Training Board located in Walkerton has come on board to support the Customer Service Excellence Award. Other award sponsors are CIBC; The Agency; BDO Dunwoody LLP, TD Canada Trust and Union Gas.  Sponsorships at the gold, silver and bronze level are still available. NEED CREATES ONLINE INFORMATION RESOURCE FOR THE EQUINE COMMUNITY IN MIDWESTERN ONTARIO

March 16, 2009

trh_mockdir_bookv2-copyMarch 16, 2009, Desboro, ON - As of this weekend, horse owners and equine enthusiasts living in Midwestern Ontario will have 24-hour access to regional horse industry information by visiting www.theRuralHorse.com. This free online resource of all things equine in Midwestern Ontario has been created to share industry knowledge with the equine community, while promoting the industry product and service providers that serve this region.

As a visitor to this site, you can view and add listings to the user initiated features. They include an Industry Referral Directory of product and service providers, Classified Listings, an Equestrian Events Calendar, Equine News Items and a social networking Question & Answer Forum.

To compliment these online services, a convenient print version of the Referral Directory will be published using the online database. The first annual edition of the Rural Horse Directory will be published in January 2010 and distributed free of charge through Sponsor Distribution Sites.

TheRuralHorse.com has been created by Susan Redlick-Hewitson, better known to some in the horse industry as “Susan the Horse Lady”, as a division of her company EquiVisions Unlimited. An equine events production and marketing company established to produce learning events and information resources. Through need and frustration shared by other owners and first-hand experience, it became Redlick-Hewitson’s passion to create an information forum that would help fellow equestrians in Midwestern Ontario provide for the health and welfare of their equine companions. This passion gave birth to the vision for her company and ultimately the creation of theRuralHorse.com website.

It is Redlick-Hewitson’s belief that the strength and viability of the horse industry depends strongly on the exchange of knowledge that educates and empowers horse owners, enabling them to make informed decisions that once applied can improve the health and optimize the performance of the equine.

A public launch for theRuralHorse.com website will occur this weekend at the Can-Am All Breeds Equine Emporium being held at the Western Fairgrounds in London, Ontario. This showcase event is recognized as the largest equine education/recognition event staged in Canada. It runs from Friday, March 20 to Sunday, March 22, 2009. To learn more about theRuralHorse.com and its public launch at Can-Am, contact info@EquiVisionsUnlimited.com or 519-794-4091.
