Fun for Family Day at Treasure Chest Museum

Remember to visit the Treasure Chest Museum on Monday, Feb 20, 2012 from 1-4 for lots of fun things to do. Tell your friends and invite them all!!!

There’s something for everyone at the Treasure Chest Museum. Our one-of-a-kind museum contains hundreds of items that are sure to fascinate individulas of all ages. Our modern two-storey bulding conatins a wide assortment of tools from nearly every trade, a blacksmith forge and many collections. The upper floor contains household items.

The Treasure Chest Museum is the creation of Norman Hagedorn. He and his wife, Ina devoted their retirement years to collecting antiques. In 1985, Norman opened his collection as a museum to the public. The museum is now maintained by the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie and is run by community volunteers. It is open to the public during the summer months and by appointment. 519-353-7176.

Co-operative business operations offer a viable business model for those interested in running a business and who prefer sharing the responsibility and workload with others. Tuesday, Jan 17th: At Back Eddies there is a meeting for the Saugeen Paddlers, also at 7PM where they will be accepting membership forms. If you want a form, please contact plcecchetti@bmts.com. The Saugeen Paddlers is a club where you can have access to a number of canoes and kayaks to enjoy all summer. The family membership fee is $60.00 and it is $40.00 for an individual.

ALSO: On Tuesday, Jan 19th everyone is invited to the Council Chambers (Paisley Legion basement) at 7PM where the PDCC will have our AGM and Elections for the 2012 Chamber Executive. Annual Bottle Drive: Skating Club

Hello everyone,
Just a reminder before everyone takes their holiday bottles back to the store that – The Paisley Skating Club – is having a bottle drive January 7th.If anyone has bottles that they would like to donate to the Paisley Skating Club for the drive Ed and I will be doing pick-ups outside Paisley and Mary Ellen and Dave Teeple will be organizing volunteers from their place on Saturday morning to do the Paisley pick-ups in town.

For those of you who have been waiting patiently for us to get the Advocate online, I would like to let you know that all the Advocates are ready for viewing now. Please accept my deepest apologies for the inconvenience to you for the past many months (EEK! I can’t admit how many!!) If there is anything that you see on the website that is not current, please let us know. We are really tryng to stay on top of things but there is SO MUCH GOING ON IN PAISLEY and SO MANY ORGANIZATIONS to keep our eye on: phone numbers and other information can get obsolete pretty quickly.
