This large Saugie was shot approx. two and a half miles north west of Walkerton Ontario after it killed and partially devoured a full grown steer on a local beef farm. The Ministry of Natural Resources refused comment on the assertion that they have been releasing Saugies to keep the deer populations in check.

The above photo and message was emailed to many area residents in March, but it has now been revealed to be a cleaver hoax, as was the previous version of it, which claimed a large cougar had been shot in the Greenock Swamp. Besides, Saugie is a vegetarian.
