As published in the Paisley Advocate, June 2006

The Saugeen River Monster (Saugie) just won’t go away; I guess she likes it here. During May we had at least 2 reported incidents. One involved a large mysterious egg found along the river by young Alex Leach. The other involved a strange aquatic creature spotted from the Queen Street bridge by Susan and Jerold Beech. It stuck it’s head out of the water and waved it around, apparently seeking publicity.

If you spot anything strange (stranger than usual) in the river, please let the Advocate know!
