Town Hall, Council Chambers

Chairperson: Sandra Blodgett

President’s Report: Sandra Blodgett

The revised BR&E survey has been sent to the co-ordinator, Amanda Farrell. We expect it back sometime in May.

Sandra will be bringing in the Chamber boxes so we can sort them.

Secretary’s Report: read by Jen Maxwell

VP Public Relations Report:Jen Harris

Treasurer’s report:Alicia Mariano

Alicia says that 50% of the invoices have been paid and mailed out. Total is $9058.00

Guest speaker: Gretel Steinburg

Gretel Steinburg came and give us a presentation about how regular people can be heros if they care enough about others. There are so many places in this world and even in our community that we can give a little more. Gretel praised us for being among those people by taking on these projects.

Ice breaker: Alicia Mariano Alica encourages us to create an elevator speech presenting our business and we practiced by brain storming about how we would like to present Paisley to the world.

-natural beauty where 2 rivers meet

-creative people

-sense of community

-opportunity to contribute

-knowing your neighbours, less fear

-vintage original town

-hometown pride

-hose tower is rare

We discussed our own community questions. It is a possibility that 3 community icons are under review. These being the school, library, and arena. How are these important to your business?

Did you know that there are NO community events in July and October?

There are still some volunteers that need the BR&E training.

Next meeting May 3rd at 7:30 sharp in the Council Chambers.

Guest speaker will be Shannon Wood.

Meeting adjourned at 9:10 p.m.
