2017 will be the 161st Annual Fall Fair. The theme this year is “Wild Things”. The Exhibitor Prize book will be out by mid-May so members can start to plan their exhibits. The new and updated website is a wealth of information and should be checked regularly for new posts.
Paisley Fall Fair has become well known as one of the very best traditional rural fall fairs in the area. From the large livestock shows, impressive draft horse shows, delicious food, musical entertainment, inclusive kids events, hands-on Agricultural Education tent, and a Palace full of the most talented homecraft exhibitors, this is a fair not to be missed.

Sheila Orchard will tell of her experiences of World War 11.
She will tell of her life as a ten year old girl growing up in England during the Second World War. Imagine hearing the Air Raid Siren going off and running to the shelter. Join us on Saturday, October 21, 2017, Refreshments will follow and admission is by donation.
The tournament kicks off the evening of Thursday, October 26 with an unforgettable Draft Party, where each team will select a NHL star to play on their team. Draft positions will be determined by the total dollars raised by each team. After an evening spent getting to know their celebrity teammate, teams will hit the ice on Friday, October 27 at The Plex in Port Elgin area. Each team is guaranteed a minimum 2 games with VIP treatment before and after each game. In addition, the top individual fundraisers from each team will be asked to join the All Star team where they will play against the Celebrity All Star Team at the end of the tournament day.
Join us on Friday, October 27, 2017 for the Huron-Bruce Celebrity Hockey Classic. Past participants have included former NHL greats like Doug Gilmour, Eric Lindros, Brad May, Rick Vaive, Kris King, Al Iafrate, Billy Smith, Tom Fergus, Kevin Maguire, Bernie Nicholls, Gary Leeman and others.
Glen owner of the Big Dipper is doing a workshop to make, bake and decorate a Gingerbread House. The cost is by donations. Register at Alicia’s, Past Time Gold Mine, or Hope and Leader Insurance. This workshop is for ages 12 and up including Adults. Limited space so register as soon as possible. Hopefully this will get you in the mood to enter our Gingerbread House Contest. Let’s get to be known as the Gingerbread House town.
