The Paisley Advocate is a free community paper published monthly by a dedicated group of volunteers, on behalf of the Paisley Chamber of Commerce.
The Paisley Advocate – Our Valuable Community Newspaper
The first Paisley Advocate was published on February 17, 1865, and our local Treasure Chest museum has a copy of that very first paper. I have always felt it is critically important to have a paper, especially to record our community development for historical purposes, as well as to celebrate Paisley and everyone who lives, works, operates a business or farm in our community.
The paper is a collaborative effort of an amazing team of volunteers. We are always happy for more volunteers to assist. We have the support and encouragement of our Chamber of Commerce executive. Editorials, advertising inquiries and general submissions can be emailed to email@example.com or dropped off at Paisley Freshmart grocery store.
Since the paper is free, we rely on advertising to cover our costs. Advertising rates can be requested by contacting the editor. Paisley Chamber of Commerce paid members receive a 10% discount on all advertising. If you would like to become a member of the Paisley Chamber of Commerce, please contact the Chamber.
We hope that you find the paper informative, interesting and you look forward to receiving it each month. We encourage lots of community input and submissions, photos, funny stories, letters to the editor, family adventures and sharing of information.
